Post Grad Basketball Program

Hines Prep academy is a family oriented residential program located in the beautiful city of Charlotte, NC.  We are dedicated to providing athletes with that extra time to get exposure to college recruits, learn in-dependency and time to adjust to college life.  Hines Prep athletes become physically fit athletically and educationally.  Hines Prep athletes will gain experience of playing college basketball competing nationally against junior college, college, and other post graduate programs.  Hines prep is dedicated and will go above and beyond to provide the players with the best higher education that personally fits their individual personalized dreams, ability, and goals.

Athletic Director:   Michael L. Hines is the athletic director and head coach for the “Knights”.  Coach Mike was born in Paterson, NJ. Coach Hines comes from a long history of athletics.  Coach Hines studied African American Studies at William Paterson College in Wayne, NJ and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.  Coach Hines relocated to Charlotte, NC with his family in 2001.  Coach Hines began his career with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system.  Coach Hines comes from a lengthy coaching background and a solid history of interacting and mentoring youths as well as hands on father of six. 

Coach Hines is the Co-Owner of Hines Athletic Club which began in 2004 and is still currently in existence.  Hines Athletic Club is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy and positive peer interaction through sports such as basketball, softball, and cheerleading.  He is devoted to athletes and pushing to bring out their talents. 

My Expectations:  Learn the game, full commitment, bond as teammates and brothers as the post grad athletes come together as one with respect, chemistry and love for the game.
